The award is recognition of the very collaborative and innovative Cardiff Intersection Bridge project and follows the successful energisation of the overhead line equipment to Cardiff in January this year, a major rail infrastructure milestone.

The annual National Rail Awards also known as the ‘railway Oscars’ celebrate excellence and achievements across the rail industry.

This year, and for the very first time, the Awards were hosted virtually by Huw Edwards and Nigel Harris.
