MSB Woolton Santos

An under 16s team and part of the biggest grassroots football club in the country, we’ve proudly sponsored MSB Woolton Santos’ U16 boys for a number of years. Playing together since the age of 14, this local youth team is based in South Liverpool, barely a few minutes drive from our office.

Unfortunately for youngsters within this age group, there’s a distinct lack of competition in the U16s bracket, many leagues simply not catering for anyone over 15. Taking the bull by the horns, Santos have been playing in adult leagues, performing admirably against much older opponents.

Here at Andromeda, we recognise the importance of teamwork, of feeling like you’re part of something special, of hard work and dedication. The spirit that Santos show every time they train or compete epitomises so much of what we stand for as a business.

The Whitechapel Centre

The leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region and just a few miles from our HQ, the Whitechapel Centre works with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. Indeed, they’re committed to helping people find and maintain a home, learn the life skills essential for independent living.

Each and every Christmas, our amazingly generous team collect for those people making use of the Centre, helping to make their Christmas that much more comfortable and enjoyable. We’re delighted to be able support this incredibly worthy cause and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

It’s no secret that, over the past decade, the rail industry – in fact the construction and civils sector as a whole – has seen a steady and concerning rise in the number of unfilled vacancies. Indeed, City & Guilds’ own research has stated that one in twenty firms working within the built environment is currently experiencing a shortage of suitable talent.

At Andromeda we believe that our people are our greatest asset. It’s no wonder, therefore, that we’re committed to supporting the development of the next generation of highly skilled design engineers.

Combining practical, on-the-job training with financial support through their university degrees, our young engineers can further themselves educationally whilst learning valuable lessons from our most experienced engineers.
