Starting his career in finance after graduating from Sheffield University with a 1st class honours degree in Mathematics, Gerard’s time within the rail industry began in 1997 as part of the Finance Department at FastLine Ltd, a railway track renewals company that was later acquired by Jarvis.
Since then, he’s worked in a variety of senior finance positions for Siemens, Giffen, Amaro Signalling and now Andromeda, taking on the role of the Company’s Finance Director in 2018.
A commercially-focused Chartered Accountant, Gerard brings to his role an innate ability to consistently challenge and improve existing processes and systems. It’s no surprise, therefore, that he has been instrumental in the success of Andromeda to date.
