Currently working towards Chartered Engineer status having spent almost three decades within the UK’s rail industry, Ian is a longstanding member of the IET with vast experience in signalling power, point heating, lighting and all manner of low voltage designs.

Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide variety of high profile rail projects, from a 650V signalling supply cabling renewal for the Great Western Zone to the West Coast Route Modernisation Integrated Trackside Power Supplies.

Prior to joining Andromeda in early 2019, Ian held the role of Principal Design Engineer at Network Rail, developing and leading their internal LV design team for eight years whilst also sitting on a number of standards working groups.
